The Lake Effect

This site is devoted to exploring different getaway spots for beach lovers who live in the Midwest and don't have the time or resources to travel to one of the coasts. The Great Lakes region offers a rich array of beachfronts, ranging from rural haunts to charming small towns to the heart of the big city--many within a day's drive.
